Religion- Today we discussed the power of prayer and looked at some psalms. Tomorrow we will continue with psalms. We will then go on to Wisdom Literature in the Bible.
English- Today we looked at paragraphs in the red grammar book on pages 79-80. The students need to create a concluding sentence for the Lincoln paragraph on pg. 80. This week we will be working on paragraph writing. The students will write a paragraph in proper format. In vocabulary, we worked on unit 3. Students should have the completing sentence section in the workbook done.
7th
Religion- The seventh graders will be doing a Bible study of the Gospel of Matthew. Each student is reading a few chapters with daily questions written in journal form. Each student will write an essay as a final project as well as presenting their information to the class. The students will type the essays in computer class.
English- We are reviewing essay writing formats with in text citations. The religion essay will be graded for English class as well. The students will work on this in computer class. In vocabulary, there will be a test on Wednesday of units 1-3. all students should finish his or her study guides tonight.
8th
Religion- We are watching Groundhog Day. The students will take notes and answer questions about the theme of Lent within the movie. The students will write an essay using a quote as a focus of the movie. The students will also take the ACRE test on Thursday. They will also start working on Ash Wednesday Mass and Families.
English- Today we worked on study guides for the vocabulary test on Friday. We will also work on essay format. The essays will be typed in computer class.
